Want to make 5k (heck, even 10 or 20k) extra per month in revenue?

Of course you do! There’s only one problem:

You don’t know how!

But that’s about to change after this article. Because you’ll learn about CTA’s, also known as call to actions. And when done right, they WILL bring your business a lot of money.

So, that’s why I’m going to show you 3 tips to create killer CTA’s. But before we get to that, let’s first discuss…

What a CTA is, and why it’s so damn important for your business

A CTA is a word of phrase that tells your audience what to do next.

Three examples:

‘Download this puppy training guide NOW.’

'Click This Link To Watch A YT Video About Gardening.'

‘Fill out the form here: <link to form>.'

Two more things typical for CTA’s:

  1. They’re clickable

  2. They’re usually placed at the end of anything marketing-related.

Now, here’s why we marketers use them.

The boring reason: it helps to keep prospects moving toward that goal so they don’t veer off and get distracted.

The fun reason: STATISTICS!

  • Emails with a single CTA increased clicks by 371% and sales by 1617%.

  • CTAs on a landing page increased clicks by 80%.

  • Adding well-placed CTAs increased revenue from blog posts by 83%.

And that’s exactly why I’m giving you three tips to create killer CTA’s…

The Three Tips to Create Insanely Profitable CTA’s

Tip #1: Use action verbs

You want your prospect to take action. That’s why we use action verbs. Here’s the right one to use depending on your situation:

  • E-commerce business? Use ‘buy’ or ‘shop.’

  • Promoting content? Use ‘Download’ or ‘Subscribe.’

  • Service-based business? ‘Text now’, ‘Get free consultation here’ and others like that.

Another tiny thing that’s massively important:

Don’t make the mistake of simply saying something exists. Here’s an example of a clothing business: ‘Our clothes are now available’.

If we had to turn that into something usable, you’d say ‘buy our clothes here’. That’s a clear instruction. And works better.

Tip #2: Use urgency.

End your CTA with words like ‘NOW’ or ‘Today’. Why? Procrastination.

People are lazy. Like putting things off. And if they have to choose between now and later, they’ll ALWAYS choose later.

This means that if you make an offer and you don’t inspire a sense of urgency, you get…

….

NO SALES.

So for your own benefit, best to just type those extra 3 or 5 letters on your laptop. Let’s move on to the last (and most important) one!

Tip #3: The WIIFM principle.

WIIFM stands for what’s in it for me. It’s a well-known sentence amongst salespeople. It means:

People only care about themselves.

So, it’s a pretty good idea to make it clear at the end of your CTA what awesome thing they get.

Quick example of how you do this:

Bad version: Download this puppy guide.

Epic version: Download this guide to learn how to train your puppy.

If you just apply these 3 tips, your sales will increase. Guaranteed. So, go ahead and use them.

In the meantime, I’m creating a second post like this with EVEN MORE tips so you can make EVEN MORE money.

So, stay tuned.

Until the next article,
