In 1923, Claude Hopkins - the Ronaldo (or Messi) of marketing - said:
“We are now approaching a period where everything will be measurable. And we don't need to waste money anywhere.”
Now, it’s 2024 (100 years later).
His prediction came true. Tech is now super advanced. We have all the tools (like ad trackers) we need to measure our ads and figure out exactly how your money is spent. YET…
Most business owners still live in the past. Pretend like these tools don’t exist. And keep running ads that bring in nothing in return. Wasting all their money…
So, why is that?
A lack of technical know-how? Sure. But with 15 minutes of hard study and some test runs, that problem is easily fixable. So, let’s assume it’s not that. In fact, I know it’s not that.
Because there’s a second reason why. One that’s far more dangerous...
And that’s the evil bastard we all know as ‘brand building’.
Tell me how to measure brand-building-focused ads.
Is it with the amount of clicks? The amount of views? The amount of purchases via the ads, like with selling? Something else?
Or have you figured out—just like I did—that you can’t?
If so, here’s why that is.
Because brand building’s metrics are like a homeless man’s home: non-existent.
With selling, you have clear metrics (clicks and conversions), but with ‘brand building,’ you have none. It’s all way too vague to measure. And that’s why it’s the perfect excuse for miserably-performing ads.
Ask anyone who runs ‘brand-building-focused’ ads why they fail, and you know what they’ll say.
"That’s normal. I’m doing brand building.”
Can’t say anything to that, can you? It’s a clever excuse. BUT it’s still totally retarded to use it. Because the excuse doesn’t change reality. You’re still wasting money. And creating shit ads.
So, let’s stop this brand building bullshit and just fix the ads...
How?
By doing 2 things:
Focusing on selling.
Measuring your ads.

Focusing on selling:
If you're as desperate for more clients as the dinosaurs were for an anti-meteorite cannon, the only thing you should focus on is selling.
Because… selling -> money.
A fast way to successfully sell? Ads. An even faster way?
Measurable ads:
See, measuring allows you to see exactly what angles, pictures, and words work. And which ones do not. Over time, this will help you develop an ad that never stops bringing money in.
Cool, right?
You know what’s even cooler?
If you apply both tips, you will not only make your business more money, you will also build your brand. AT THE SAME TIME!
